The work that the PhD candidate and research fellow of ciTechCare Marlene Lages will present at the next congress of the American Society for Nutrition was the winner of the Nutrients 2021 award in the category of Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics. This work aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a personalised nutritional intervention according to the profile of clock genes in people with metabolic disorders. This award includes a travel grant to participate in the Nutrition Live Online 2021 Congress from 7 to 10 June and one publication in the Nutrients journal. More information HERE.
The article “Speech Therapist Practices and Research Skills in Portugal”, in which the ciTechCare researcher Inês Tello Rodrigues is co-author, won the award for best scientific article of 2020 from the Portuguese Journal of Speech Therapy (Revista Portuguesa de Terapia da Fala, RPTF).The official delivery ceremony will take place at the next face-to-face or online event held by the Portuguese Association of Speech Therapists (APTF) and/or the RPTF. Patrícia Sofia Ferreira Miranda, Joana Margarida Gonçalves Aquino, Ricardo Miguel Patrício de Carvalho Monteiro, Maria dos Anjos Coelho Rodrigues Dixe, Alexandra Maria Branco da Luz and Pascoal Moleiro won the 2019 Outstanding Publishing Prize awarded by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Pediatria and the Pierre-Fabre company with the paper entitled “Comportamentos sexuais: estudo em jovens” published in The Journal Einstein (São Paulo).
Carolina Henriques, Elisa Caceiro, Maria Luísa Santos and Sónia Ramalho, professors at the Health Sciences School, Polytechnic of Leiria, saw their oral communication based on the investigation on the field of Conflict Tactics in Young Love Relationships awarded at the 10th ASPESM International Congress, 2019 which took place between October 29-31 at the Portalegre Polytechnic.
The AGILidades project from the researcher of ciTechCare Marlene Rosa received the APASD/ASTRAZENECA Award for the oral presentation entitled “Implementation of AGILidades’ protocol in people with Alzheimer’s disease at home – 2 study cases monitored by caregivers”, presented at the International Congress on Person Centered Healthcare, organized by the Associação Para A Segurança dos Doentes (APASD), Conselho Regional Norte da Ordem dos Médicos and the European Society for Person Centered Healthcare.
The Sociedade Artística Musical de Pousos (SAMP, Leiria), in partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, will receive 40.600€ to support a project which aims to improve the quality of life of people with chronic pain (i.e., patients with cancer, depression and other pathologies) using music therapy.
