CV Synopsis

Andreia Alexandra da Costa Azevedo Ribeiro da Rocha Antunes Graduated in Medicine (1994) at Nova Medical School. She has been a Specialist in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Coimbra University Hospital since 2004 and a Graduate Assistant at the College of Ob/Gyn (2015). She strongly advocates minimally invasive procedures and a “one-stop” diagnostic and treatment philosophy. She is also deeply interested in global well-being and her patients’ positive self-image. Over the last 15 years, she has expanded her knowledge through several postgraduate courses and master’s degrees, which have allowed her to progressively broaden her interests from Gynaecology to Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine. Her patients have highly appreciated her. She believes in the importance of applying knowledge for social benefit; because of that, she is now involved in a PhD research project that joins a local industry (DRT enterprise), the University of Minho and the FCT R&D Unit – ciTechCare- Center for Innovative Care and Health Technology, with the collaboration of Hospital da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Leiria. This project aims to translate her know-how to improve women’s quality of life.
