Body image, well-being and motivation in dance practitioners

The 1st International Congress of the CIEQV took place online on February 18-19. The researcher of ciTechCare Roberta Frontini was involved in two presentations about research coordinated by the researcher Raul Antunes.
The oral communication entitled “Body image and well-being in dance practitioners: An exploratory study” aimed to analyze the perception of body image and subjective well-being (positive and negative affect and satisfaction with life) in dance practitioners, including a comparison between teenagers and adults.
The second work “Relationship between body image and motivation in dancers” was presented in a poster format. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the way dancers regulate their behavior and their satisfaction with body image.
Both works were presented by student Beatriz Faria and are the result of her final degree project.
