On October 9th, Pedro Machado, PhD fellow at ciTechCare, was invited to participate in the Roundtable: Rehabilitation in Survival, in the II Congress of PsychoOncology of the Liga Portuguesa contra o Cancro, with the topic “Rehabilitation and physical exercise”, where he highlighted the main benefits of physical exercise in cancer.
According to Pedro, ‘this was another opportunity to learn and share knowledge”. This initiative continues the scientific events in the field of Psycho-Oncology that the League has been promoting since the creation, in 2009, of Psycho-Oncology Units across the country, complementing the provision of free consultations for cancer patients and their family in the recognition of the considerable impact of cancer, both emotionally and on quality of life.
