Pulmonologist and researcher at ciTechCare, João Cordeiro da Costa, has recently joined the international non-profit organization that intends to assess and accredit continuing medical training activities in the area of Pulmonology, according to very strict quality criteria, through assessments, e-learning sessions, live educational events, mobile apps or training center in respiratory medicine.

Born in Leiria, the researcher and also Director of the Pneumology service of the Hospital Fernando Pessoa, in Gondomar, has been developing studies in several areas of expertise such as asthma, sleep medicine, lung function studies, bronchiectasis, pleural techniques or bronchoscopy.

With his name in several articles and books published, he is also member of both Portuguese Society of Pulmonology and European Respiratory Society.
