Maria Guarino integrated the BIOSTEC 2024 as program chair of BIODEVICES 2024

Maria Pedro Guarino, the ciTechCare Coordinator, participated in the BIOSTEC 2024 – 17th International Joint Conference on Biomedical Engineering Systems and Technologies, as a Program Chair of BIODEVICES 2024 – 17th International Conference on Biomedical Electronics and Devices from february 21 to 23, in Rome, Italy. The coordinator and researcher of this research unit also chaired a discussion panel during the opening session of the conference titled “Biomedical Engineering in the Era of Digital Transition and Integrated Health Data,” which delved into crucial topics shaping the future of healthcare and technology integration.

BIOSTEC is sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) and serves as a platform to convene researchers and practitioners across various disciplines, including engineers, biologists, health professionals, and informatics/computer scientists.

The conference aimed to bridge theoretical advances with practical applications of information systems, artificial intelligence, signal processing, electronics, and other engineering tools in fields related to biology and medicine. Comprising five co-located conferences, each specializing in different knowledge areas, BIOSTEC fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange.
