By developing a novel methodology of antimicrobial susceptibility testing based on direct sample processing combined with a laser speckle-based detection system, microBioS will accelerate results delivery to physicians, preventing empirical antimicrobial prescription and thus reducing treatment failure and multidrug resistance emergence.
