CV Sinopsis
Nuno Catela Correia is an Associate Teacher at the School of Health Sciences of the University of Leiria and Oeste and a collaborating researcher at ciTechCare – Centre for Innovation in Technologies and Health Care. He is a nurse specialising in Rehabilitation Nursing, holds a Master’s Degree in Drug Addiction and Psychosocial Pathologies, and is a PhD candidate in Nursing, specialising in the History and Philosophy of Nursing.
He has solid, diverse professional experience in sports and respiratory and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, developed in hospital and community settings. Throughout his career, he has worked in various clinical settings, including sports clubs, home care and inpatient units in specialities such as Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Haematology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He has authored numerous scientific publications and presented papers at national and international congresses. He has also received several awards, including the 1st Prize for Oral Communications at the International Research Symposium of the Portuguese Catholic University and the 2022 Best Paper Award from the Nursing Reports journal.
