CV Synopsis 

Sara Pimenta is a physiotherapist and a PhD Research Fellow. She is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Medicine – University of Porto, holding a PhD fellowship from Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (2025.03877.BDANA). Her doctoral project, PERSIST – Developing guidance for person-centred interventions to support maintenance of pulmonary rehabilitation gains in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, will be conducted in collaboration with Hospital Pulido Valente (Santa Maria Health Unit). Her research interests focus on patient-centred care and ensuring research evidence translates into meaningful, lasting clinical practice, particularly in chronic respiratory care. She is also a member of the SCALE-UP Project research team.
