Relationship between food choice and physical activity in body-image perception among adolescents

A group of researchers from ciTechCare recently published an article in Frontiers in Public Health journal about the association of certain behaviours and factors in the level of body satisfaction of a group of teenagers who were part of the TeenPower project.
This study revealed the existence of a high percentage of body dissatisfaction among adolescents, and most of them were not satisfied and wanted to lose weight. The authors highlight the importance of understanding how body (dis)satisfaction affects food preferences and physical activity levels so that, in the future, these factors can be integrated into policies and interventions aimed at adolescents.
