Helena Reis, researcher at ciTechCare and teacher at Escola Superior de Saúde do Politécnico de Leiria, is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Intellectual Disability – Diagnosis and Treatment.The journal aims to publish research in the field of diagnosis, prevention and intervention in children and adults with intellectual disability. It covers not just the technical aspects of the procedures in prenatal, newborn and postnatal screening, but also the impact which the process of testing and treatment has on individuals, parents, families and public health in general.
