CV Synopsis
Rita Nunes Novo is a research fellow and a PhD student in Food Consumption Sciences and Nutrition at the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences, University of Porto (FCNAUP), where she also completed her MSc in Pediatric Nutrition. She holds a BSc in Dietetics and Nutrition from the Polytechnic University of Leiria.
Her research interests include pediatric nutrition, nutrition education, and pediatric feeding and eating disorders. Her PhD project, PEDIDAP (Program for the Study, Diagnosis, and Intervention in Pediatric Feeding Disorders), funded by an FCT PhD scholarship (2025.00684.BDANA), focuses on pediatric feeding disorders (PFD). In contrast, her Master’s research focused on avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
She is also a team member of the Veggies4myHeart project, which promotes knowledge and consumption of vegetables among preschool children.
