Presenteeism among Portuguese and Swiss nurses and its impact on patient safety and quality of care

A qualitative study based on online focus group discussions will explore the perceptions of, attitudes to, and experiences with presenteeism among frontline nurses and nurse managers. We expect findings from this Swiss-Portuguese research partnership to improve understanding of the thresholds for presenteeism and inform future interventional studies and recommendations.
