CV Synopsis 
Rafael Pinheiro, a full-time researcher at ciTehCare, Polytechnic University of Leiria, has a PhD in Systems Engineering from the University of São Paulo. His thesis included the development of a mathematical model for Alzheimer ‘s-type memory failure and innovative control systems to treat it. With several publications, his research interests cover mathematical modelling of biological systems, neuroscience, control theory, biosignal processing and AI applications in health.
