Body image and well-being in dance practitioners

Two ciTechCare researchers recently published the article “Body image and well-being in dance practitioners: An exploratory study” in the Cuadernos de Psicología del Deporte journal.
The article was part of the final graduation work of the student Beatriz Faria, under the supervision of the researchers Raúl Antunes and Roberta Frontini. The work aimed to analyze the perception of (dis)satisfaction with body image and subjective well-being, comparing adolescents and adults. A sample of 91 dancers was used, divided into two groups (adolescents 11-17 years old; adults 18-34 years old). The data seem to identify indicators to be explored in the future, seeking to understand the factors that may be mediating the relationship between body image and well-being, as well as the effect of age on this relationship.
