The Tec2Med Summit took place in Lisbon, from October 15 to 19, bringing together healthcare professionals, biomedical engineers, scientists, leaders, and young talents from various countries. The event aims to promote stimulating scientific discussions on creating the next technological innovations in the medical field.
ciTechCare were present on October 17 and 18 to showcase innovative solutions resulting from its developed research work, particularly in the areas of dementia and respiratory rehabilitation, and to share knowledge in the field of medical devices.
Researcher Marlene Rosa participated with the SMILIGHT project, presenting the AmiLight application at an exhibition stand and leading a workshop dedicated to its use. The project also involves the development and presentation of an innovative device designed to support therapeutic care for people with dementia.
Nádia Hipólito, a researcher in the field of pulmonary rehabilitation, attended with the OnTRACK project, conducting a workshop on physical activity monitoring using technology (wearables, digital applications and accelerometers). As part of this activity, a practical demonstration of the project was carried out, emphasizing the focus on technological monitoring of physical activity.
Maria Pedro Guarino, coordinator of ciTechCare, also integrated a round table discussion on the regulatory challenges associated with medical devices, sharing her experience to foster debate and collaboration on this key topic at the event.
