ciTechCare researchers talk about science… in a pub – Pint of science

The biggest science communication festival in the world came back from 22 to 24 May.
The event that gathers researchers from several research areas aims to overcome the lack of scientific literacy, by sharing research projects with the population, in a relaxed and simple way.

Sónia Gonçalves Pereira, PhD researcher in Clinical Microbiology, talked about celiac disease and José Carlos Gomes, PhD researcher in Public Health, addressed the importance and the role of human emotions, in a totally informal meeting on May 24, at 6:30 pm, at the Shisha Gold Lounge, in Leiria – one of the 10 portuguese cities participating this year.

In this edition of Pint of Science festival, the same bar also welcomed two young researchers on May 23, at 6:30 p.m., to talk more about human biology, medicine and health.
