Rui Fonseca-Pinto, an integrated member of ciTechCare and the current Director of the School of Health Sciences of the Polytechnic of Leiria , was interviewed by Jornal de Leiria on January 14th, where he spoke about the challenge of teaching during the pandemy and the future of the School. Rui emphasizes that “There is an extraordinary ingredient whichis the region. Here we have industry, partners providing healthcare, research, research-related companies and spin-offs, there is a huge potential for our training to have this differentiating framework”, and that higher education should also include the dimension of research – “Currently we have also clinical placements conducted in research units”, including ciTechCare.
