The Polytechnic of Leiria is now opening an application for a scientific research fellowship within the project “MAP02 – Medication Adherence Platform – COMPETE2030-FEDER-01487800”, funded by the Innovation and Digital Transition Program (COMPETE 2030).

The scholarship is intended for graduates in Biomechanics, Materials Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Health Sciences and Technologies, or related fields, who are master’s students in the scientific areas of the project.

The aim of this scientific research fellowship is to develop new materials with antimicrobial properties and controlled characteristics to ensure that the properties of medicines/supplements remain unchanged within the reservoir. It also involves the characterization and processing of these materials. Ultimately, the goal is to produce a Master’s Thesis based on the project’s results.

The work will be carried out at CDRSP – Center for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development, under the scientific supervision of Professor Pedro José Silva Carreira, PhD.

The duration of this research fellowship will be 12 months, possibly renewable, with a start scheduled for January 2026.
