Carla Guimarães holds BSc in Biochemistry; BSc in Nutritional Sciences; Post Graduation in Nutrition and Ageing and PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering. She has several years of experience in research & development, clinical nutrition and teaching. She has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is a full-time adjunct professor at the School of Health Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Leiria, Portugal.
