Specialist Nurse in Mental Health, PhD in Public Health. Full professor at the School of Health Sciences from Polytechnic of Leiria. President of the Nursing Council of the NNA – Ordem dos Enfermeiros (2013-2016), member of the National Health Plan Advisory and Monitoring Council (2014-2016) and member of the Advisory Board of the Leiria Hospital Center. Member of European research groups (DGSANCO) in the field of mental health promotion. Scientific coordinator of the Nursing Degree Completion Course of the University of Santiago (Cape Verde). Author of more than a hundred conference lectures and several books, book chapters and articles, published nationally and internationally.
