CV Synopsis

Rita Andrade Santos is a Biochemist (B.Sc.) and Molecular Biologist (M.Sc.) from the University of Coimbra (FCTUC), where she worked on heterologous expression of proteins in E.  coli. She also worked on a heredity study of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy through DNA polymorphism analysis. She recently completed a postgraduate degree in Molecular Oncobiology Breakthrough, Applied to Diagnostic and Therapeutic – ESTeSL – IPLisboa. She’s currently a PhD student at DCV Coimbra (Life Sciences Department), ULSRL (Leiria Hospital), and ciTechCare, with ongoing research in blood biomarkers for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
