e-Empowering teenagers to prevent obesity

TeenPower is a trans-disciplinary, practice-based research project that aims to develop innovative cognitive-behavioural interventions to empower adolescents’ health through increased, interactive contact with multidisciplinary health teams.

We aim to respond to an identified need and discuss it with local stakeholders (health professionals and the school community), given the lack of an integrated, creative, and dynamic strategy to prevent obesity and promote salutogenic behaviours among adolescents.

TeenPower’s main goal is to develop, implement, and evaluate a program based on e-therapy and case management methodologies to encourage healthy behaviours and avoid adolescent obesity.
