RELIEF JOURNEY - A hybrid serious game to support individuals with chronic pain

The RELIEF JOURNEY project consists of developing an intervention tool based on a narrative, low-intensity, non-competitive serious game designed to support people with chronic pain, particularly older adults. The intervention proposes an imaginative journey to promote relaxation and emotional regulation, using specialised cards that encourage social connection, self-exploration, and rhythmic breathing exercises, while also integrating elements of indirect hypnosis via video stimuli.
The project aims to contribute to the development and validation of psychosocial approaches for pain management, reinforcing the role of digital and game-based interventions in supporting well-being.
