Mind&Gait
Promoting independent living in frail older adults by improving cognition and gait ability and use of assistive products
Mind&Gait aims to promote independent living in frail older adults through the development of innovative initiatives and systems to improve cognition and gait ability and provision of specific support equipment. The project will develop a structured and integrated combined intervention through a computer-assisted cognitive stimulation and animal-assisted therapy program, a physical activity program and an auto-blocking mechanism for rolling walkers. Additionally, a web platform will work as a repository and an instrument for results dissemination and resources availability.
