MOVIDA
Physical activity monitoring platform
Chronic disease prevention and management combined with rehabilitation programs establishes a true challenge for the healthcare community. Epidemiological studies reveal an increased prevalence of cardiovascular and chronic diseases and specify supervised physical activity as a strong tool to control their progression.
This interdisciplinary and inter-institutional project will create a global health community program centred on a platform with a mobile app and a dashboard to monitor physical activity, divided into 4 main modules to target several branches of the population.
The program enables exercise prescription and monitors user’s performance and adherence in metabolic disease patients (MOVIDA.cronos), draws and follows up cardiac rehabilitation programs (MOVIDA.eros), tracks and quantify indoor movements (MOVIDA.domus), and access to a stratified training circuit to maintain or improve fitness levels in healthy users (MOVIDA.polis).
