e-Empowering teenagers to prevent obesity
TeenPower trans-disciplinary practice-based research project foresees the development of innovative cognitive-behavioral interventions for health empowerment in adolescents through increased and interactive contact between them and multidisciplinary health teams. Our aim is to respond to an identified need, discussed with local players (health professionals and the school community), considering the absence of an integrated, creative and dynamic strategy to prevent obesity and promote salutogenic behaviors among adolescents. TeenPower main goal is to develop, implement and evaluate a program to promote healthy behaviors and prevent obesity in adolescence, based on e-therapy and case management methodologies.
