e-Empowering teenagers to prevent obesity

TeenPower is a trans-disciplinary practice-based research project that foresees the development of innovative cognitive-behavioural interventions for health empowerment in adolescents through increased and interactive contact between them and multidisciplinary health teams.

We aim to respond to an identified need and discuss it with local players (health professionals and the school community), considering the absence of an integrated, creative and dynamic strategy to prevent obesity and promote salutogenic behaviours among adolescents.

TeenPower’s main goal is to develop, implement, and evaluate a program based on e-therapy and case management methodologies to encourage healthy behaviours and avoid adolescent obesity.
