Professor Dina Brooks, vice-dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of McMaster, in Hamilton, Canada and a renowned researcher from the West Park Healthcare Centre and the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, in Canada, in pulmonary and cardiovascular rehabilitation, physical exercise and aging, came to the Polytechnic of Leiria, January 30 and 31, to a scientific sharing moment to talk about Rehabilitation in Chronic Lung Disease and also to listening from ciTechCare researchers about the projects what have been developed in this field of work.
The session entitled ‘Rehabilitation in chronic lung disease: more than exercise’ happened in the School of Health Science of Polytechnic of Leiria and was opened to anyone interested on the theme, an event that brought together students, investigators and healthcare professionals to hear from such a reference.
Dina Brooks, also a member of the ciTechCare External Advisory Board, was the invited speaker of a science swing session that aims to enhance and foster relations between ciTechCare researchers and the other distinguished researchers. This session, entitled ‘crossing project experience’, took place at the Hub of Health Innovation of Polytechnic of Leiria.
