The SMILIGHT project, created by AGILidades and composed of Marlene Rosa, Rafael Pinheiro, Alexandre Cavaleiro, Carolina Reina, Clara Neves, and Susana Lopes, is a finalist for the AgeINfuture – Longevity Innovation Award, in the ‘Prototypes’ category.
The project’s application, submitted in July 2025, had the strategic partnership of: SCMPombal, CSPPousos, Primavida (Leiria), Primavida (Amor), ADS Loureira, AMITEI, Centro Social de Carnide, and ciTechCare.
The Longevity Innovation Award is an initiative of the AgeINfuture consortium, which stems from the Good Practices in Active and Healthy Ageing Award of the Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDRC, IP), as part of its regional strategy to promote active and healthy ageing, focused on the territory covered by AgeINfuture.
The SMILIGHT project will be presented at the 4th Congress of the Interdisciplinary Research Unit – Functional Aged Communities (Age.Comm) of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, which will take place on November 13, 14, and 15, under the main theme “Ageing Challenges: Creativity, Connectivity, and Inclusion.”
On November 13, AGILidades will also present an innovative project called Córtex School Bag, in the space dedicated to the 4th Innovation Practices Workshop.
The SMILIGHT project is one of the three finalists in the ‘Prototype’ category. The final results of the Longevity Innovation Award will be announced on November 14 at 2:00 p.m. The ‘Projects’ and ‘Services’ categories will also have a winning project, each one.
