The current Industrial Revolution and some of its implications – opinion article

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is changing the way we act, our sense of privacy, our perception of ownership and even our consumption patterns. 

The new era of technological evolution is characterized by the use of augmented reality, artificial intelligence, blockchain or machine learning technology which threaten a set of current jobs. 

Rafael Pinheiro, post-doctoral researcher working on the development of algorithms of artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling and control consider that “every revolution generates transformation and need for adaptation” and it is important to “move forward confidently towards a new technological era”.
