We still need to motivate people for physical activity

Roberta Frontini, lecturer at Politécnico de Leiria and member of the ciTechCare, published on June 16 an article in Diário de Leiria where she highlights the importance of continuing to investigate the reasons and barriers to the practice of physical activity and physical exercise, and she gives some tips to overcome them.
Roberta emphasizes that “if we want to motivate someone to be more active, we will have to start by making an assessment of the motivational stage in which the person is.” Furthermore, having goals is important, but they must be realistic and set for the short, medium and long term. A crucial point remains the work in multidisciplinarity.
