Sara Dias, researcher at ciTechCare, lecturer at the School of Health Sciences, Polytechnic of Leiria, and epidemiologist, gave an interview to the newspaper Região de Leiria where she made a prediction about the future of the pandemic in Portugal, where she states that “We will only be able to ‘breathe’ in the summer of 2022”. Sara emphasises that public health depends on each one of us, and that in the future we must be prepared for a new pandemic with well-designed and previously authorised protocols so that we can act as early as possible.
