ciTechCare research highlighted at the Farm to Fork congress

The Congress “Farm to Fork – Our food, our health, our Future”, which took place from november 16 to 18, in Castelo Branco, was attended by national and international scientists, with innovative work and research on Agrifood, Nutrition and Sustainability areas, where ciTechCare presented two different works. 

Researcher Marisa Gaspar presented the poster entitled “Valorization of ‘Rocha’ Pear residues for gummies Development and Optimization: a Sustainable and Healthy approach”, which is also co-authored by Ana Cristina Rodrigues, Maria Guarino, Luís Luís, Rafael Pinheiro andAfonso Silva, master student who was also present at the event. 

Rui Lopes, researcher at ciTechCare, also presented the oral communication entitled “The Nutritional, Economic, and social potential of Arbutus unedo (Strawberry Tree) cultivation in the national context”.   

Also the master student Solange Castanheira was present at this congress, as part of her internship in the ciTechCare. 

This event allowed the sharing of knowledge among researchers, as well as the promotion of the recognition of the Polytechnic of Leiria, and ciTechCare, among the scientific community that operates in the areas of agrifood, nutrition and health.
