ciTechCare visited the University of Burgos

A delegation from ciTechCare visited the University of Burgos (UBU) from the 1st to the 6th of july. The visit, arranged with the UBU Faculty of Health Sciences, showcased an array of advanced facilities and fostered promising discussions for future collaborations.

During the mission, ciTechCare Coordinator Maria Guarino presented the research unit’s innovative projects and objectives to UBU’s research teams, highlighting ongoing research and potential collaborative opportunities.

ciTechCare team, Marisa Gaspar, Rui Fonseca Pinto, Ana Cristina Rodrigues, and Sara Dias, visited several of UBU’s state-of-the-art laboratories, including the “Laboratorio de Autonomía Avanzada,” “Laboratorio de Prácticas en Biomedicina,” and the “Centro de Simulación de Alta Fidelidad.”

Additionally, the delegation visited the ICCRAM (International Research Center in Critical Raw Materials for Advanced Industrial Technologies), further broadening the scope of their research interests. This visit underscored the potential for significant interdisciplinary collaboration, especially in fields critical to sustainable technologies applied to healthcare but also food technology, human evolution, biotechnology, and chemistry.

Currently, ciTechCare already collaborates with UBU in the Masters of Hand Therapy through the RUN-EU (Regional University Network – European Union) projects.
