Which feeding barriers compromise how children with autism spectrum disorders feed?

Inês Tello-Rodrigues, speech therapist, researcher in Cognitive Neurosciences, is co-author of a systematic review about feeding problems in children with autism spectrum disorders’, which was published last May 20 in the Journal of Speech, Language and Hearing. From the 45 eligible articles for the analysis, it was possible to conclude that feeding problems are mainly associated to food selectivity and food refusal, behavioural mealtime problems, fear of trying new food (food neophobia) and oral-motor impairment. Telemonitoring in hypertensive patients with exercise prescription is at the origin of an innovative project and article with international recognition

Pedro Morouço, researcher of ciTechCare, together with other physical exercise professionals, published a systematic review about the impact telemonitoring has on hypertension control. Hypertension is a growing problem in daily society, and specialists expected that all over the Europe, around 35 to 40% of population is hypertensive and, in Portugal, the prevalence of hypertensive adults is around 42,6%.
