Cátia Santos, nurse and researcher at ciTechCare, led the 7th session of the Research Center of the Local Health Unit of the Region of Leiria, on April 9, dedicated to the theme “Mesothelioma in Portugal”. On april 8th, several researchers participated in a 6.5km route, to celebrate the World Physical Activity Day, which happens on april 6th, and the World Health Day, on april 7th. This initiative aims to raise public awareness for the regular practice of physical activity, since science has demonstrated its fundamental role in the quality of life of each, as well as its potential health gains. ciTechCare has been working on the promotion of physical activity in clinical populations, and the regular practice of physical activity is also something stimulated inside the research unit, promoting a balance between work and personal
