On September 18, the aTOPlab promoted the 1st Wheel Chair Conference, an innovative event whose goal was to explain the several types of wheelchairs, as well as their application in the daily life, by performing some workshops which took place at the Health Innovation Hub. ciTechCare research at the European Respiratory Society Congress

Joana Cruz, Nádia Hipólito and Sara Pimenta were present at the ERS congress that took place in Milan, from September 9 to 13. ciTechCare researchers integrate a pioneer guide in Speech Therapy

Carina Pinto, Débora Franco, Inês Lopes and Sónia Pós de Mina, researchers, lecturers and members of the Portuguese Society of Speech Therapy are co-authors of the “Compendium of Speech Therapy: evaluate and intervene with evidence”, the most recent and extensive work written by experts, and the only one written in European Portuguese. On September 15, the exhibition “Design, Health and Care”, which took place in the Archive Bookstore, gathered researchers, health professionals, representatives of use patients and other guests. The goal was to inform about the SafeTrack project developed among ciTechCare, the Laboratory of Design and Arts (LIDA) and the Leiria Hospital Center (LHC). Opening of 3 calls for 12 research fellowships

The Polytechnic of Leiria is now opening applications for (twelve) scientific research fellowship (BI) within the project “MorphoPlay – Playful strategies for assessing morphological knowledge (2022.02585.PTDC)”, financed by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). MorphoPlay will be a morphological knowledge assessment test for children from the 2ndto the 4th grade of the 1st cycle, with the aim of being applied in the clinical practice of Speech Therapists andeventually in the classroom, by Teachers of the 1st cycle. Candidates will contribute to: collectinglinguistic data in schools, with children in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of the 1st cycle
