On July 10, ciTechCare received a visit from Kamila Rasová, PhD in Neuroscience, lecturer and research coordinator of the Rehabilitation Department at the Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, in Czechia. As a physiotherapist, she works in the Department of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at the same institution, whose main focus is the rehabilitation of neurological patients (multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal muscular atrophy, etc.), which is also her research field of work. The presence of Kamila Rasová, resulted from an invitation made by José Alves-Guerreiro, researcher at ciTechCare with whom she has collaborated, and allowed a sharing of experiences and projects
Celiact (TIV) project receives funding from the Beyond Celiac Foundation
Sónia Gonçalves Pereira, PhD MD, was awarded with the Beyond Celiac Foundation Established Investigator Award 2022 to develop the project CeliAct(TIV) – Translocation, Inflammation and Virulence: dissecting mechanisms of gluten-microbiota interactions in Celiac Disease, with a funding of €300,000 for the next 3-years. Researcher is invited to integrate scientific book on intellectual disabilities
Helena Reis, lecturer in Occupational Therapy and researcher, Ph.D., in Child Studies, in the field of Special Education, at ciTechCare, is co-author of the chapter “From Birth to adolescence: Related neurodevelopmental Disorders” that is part of the book entitled “Intellectual Disabilities: Health and Social Care Across the Lifespan”, recently published in Springer. The book aims to be a guide for nurses, health and social care professionals, but also for the relatives of people with intellectual disabilities, contributing to a better performance of caregivers, taking into account the needs and health care of people with this type of condition. SafeTrack closing session gathers researchers and healthcare professionals at Leiria Hospital Center
The closing session of the SafeTrack Project happened, on June 29, in the auditorium of Leiria Hospital Center.
